There's something incredibly special about watching a family's journey unfold through my lens. When I first met this gorgeous couple during their fall maternity session, I knew their little one would be absolutely stunning. Those maternal glows and loving glances between soon-to-be parents never lie!

Fast forward to this past Christmas season, I had the joy of welcoming their beautiful newborn into my studio. While our tiny star decided to show off her strong personality (and lungs!) during the session, years of experience and my wonderful assistant (a NICU nurse) helped us navigate the fussiness with ease. There's nothing quite like having medical expertise on hand to keep both baby and parents comfortable and relaxed.

But the real show-stealer? Their adorable yellow Lab, Apollo! As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to include our fur-babies in these precious family moments. While I always welcome well-behaved pets into my sessions, safety remains my top priority. Here's a behind-the-scenes secret: when incorporating pets into newborn photos, I actually capture separate images of the baby and the pet, then carefully blend them together in post-processing. This ensures both baby's safety and picture-perfect results!

The final gallery is a beautiful mix of newborn portraits, family connections, and Apollo's tricks. Peep the little treat on his nose for his own "headshot" - he left it there until his dad gave him the ok to eat it.
